KP

KP astrology is one rule of one principle of one school of one division of Vedic astrology. KP astrology is like Newton’s laws of motion while Vedic astrology is the entire branch of Physics in all its glory.

KP astrology is based on three rules of astrology:

  1. Nakshatras can be subdivided into the structure of Vimshottari dasha and demonstrate results based on the lords of that respective sub-division, similar to Vimshottari dasha.
  2. The kendra strengthen a result and dushtana destroy it
  3. 11th house lord fulfils results and promises because it indicates gains.

This is an excellent system (Paddhati) of astrological predictions conceived and created by The Great Indian Astrology master late Prof. K.S. Krishnamurti. KP System is based on finer points of Indian and Western astrology and borrows important concepts from many branches of astrology. Regarded as the most accurate system of present time, KP System of astrology is easy to learn and easy to apply.

In the modern era, Krishnamurthy method is used for the most exact prediction. In Krishnamurthy method, a person can easily know about the occurring events of his life because this process has been proven on all the evidence. The events of life like marriage, education, accidents and profession etc can be easily predicted through it.

There are three major areas in Krishna Murthy method: First ruling planet, second horoscope and third horary. The ruling planet is the golden key of this method.

Planets possess their own natural features. But the constellation is much larger than the planets, and they produce more magnetic waves. It is for this reason that constellations are considered more powerful than planets. Krishnamurthy believes the planet takes on the properties of the constellation in which it resides, and predicts most of the results as indicated by the constellation. All constellations are divided into nine parts, on the basis of Maharishi Parashar's Vimshottri dasha. In 120-year-old Vimshottari dasha, the years are divided among planets such as sun, moon, mars etc., each constellation is divided into 9 equal parts on the same ratio. Each division is called nakshtranwansh, Upadhipati or sub lord.

Subpart in KP means 1/9th division or part of the constellation, but constellations of Sun and Jupiter are divided into 10 subparts which gives 6 additional subparts. That’s why 27 constellations into 9 sub parts give 243 subparts and 6 Additional sub parts of the sun and Jupiter gives a total of 249 subparts.

The natural auspiciousness or inauspiciousness of planets is not considered in Krishnamurti method. If a planet indicates growth factors, it will give auspicious results and if it indicates decadent factors it will give inauspicious results. All results will be experienced in the combined period of dasha, bhakti and antara. The basic idea of Krishnamurti is that sub parts convert the results of sub lords into stars. Sub lord determines the results received by the native.

Major Deviation from Vedic Astrology-

First six Bhavas in KP Astrology are calculated and then we calculate the next bhavas till 12 by deducting the corresponding houses degree from 180 degree as all the bhavas are placed 180 degree apart from its opposite Bhavas.

Each Zodiac sign contains 2 and 1/4th Nakshatras and we have already unveiled the 9 divisions of a particular Nakshatra in the KP System. Every single part of these 9 divisions are allotted to certain planets. This division is based on the Placidus system of Western Astrology.

The deviation from Vedic Astrology occurs while considering the houses. As we have already discussed about unequal distribution of all 12 zodiac signs in KP Astrology. Vedic Astrology assumes that the houses are equally divided in 12 divisions of 30 degrees. However, it is not appropriate according to KP Astrology.

KP Astrology believes that the houses are not equally divided into 12 divisions but based on the cusps. The cusps of houses play a very important role throughout the whole lifespan of an individual. The span of the house could be less than 30 degree or more than 30 degree. House and cusp lords are calculated through the Placidus system of western Astrology. Hence it is a one of the major deviations of KP Astrology from Vedic Astrology.

Therefore, this technique is commonly used by many Astrologers due to its easy applications. The accuracy of giving any prediction with this technique is found correct many of the times. It can certainly give you an idea for happening or non happening moments in life. So it is mandatory for an Astrologer to know this technique as it minimizes the difference between the predictions given by many Astrologers.
